Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
Helen Keller

Everyone who was subjected to ritual abuse, mind control programming, child sex trafficking, or other forms of organized severe abuse is welcome. We are glad you found us. Consider yourself a community member of the GrassRoots RA/MC Survivors’ Collective if you attend one of our events or volunteer your time.

Of course, it’s different for everybody, because each person is unique. But there is something special about community – being with others like us accelerates healing and growth.

This is what we hear over and over:

“I was really scared to meet other survivors because I had been taught that I should never, ever, speak about these things or have any friends. I told myself I would go once and see what it was like. It was amazing to hear survivors talking openly about their memories and how they cope with present-day challenges.”

“The group seemed safe and welcoming. After a few meetings of staying silent, I found I could share like the others. I have gotten so much from their kindness and from realizing that I am not the only one that’s gone through these horrors.”

“I gained self-confidence and found I did have talents and knowledge that could help others.”

We are all responsible for keeping ourselves safe. Screening everyone and guaranteeing everyone’s safety is beyond the capabilities of our Collective.

However, if someone is deliberately hurtful toward others and does not follow the guidelines in GrassRoots’ Disclaimer and Expectations for all Events, and a resolution cannot be found, we will ban them from the Collective. If a situation arises between yourself and another person involved with the Collective, decide whether it might be possible to talk it through and find a solution. If not, break off working with the other person. You can always say something general like, “I just don’t feel we are a good fit.”

GrassRoots’ events are open to survivors of ritual abuse, mild control programming, child sex trafficking, or other forms of organized severe abuse. Although the events are intended for adults, internal parts of all ages are welcome. See the event descriptions for more details.

Our events are usually held on Zoom for free. If at any time there is a cost for an event, or it is an in-person event, it will be clearly stated in the event’s listing. You can view and register for upcoming events on our Events page

Please read our Disclaimer before registering for and attending one of our events.
