If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.

Event times are in Pacific Time.
This time zone converter can help you convert them to other time zones.

To help build safety and community, we require everyone to have their video on during our virtual events. Our Poetry Readings are the only exception to this rule, as they are open to the general public.

cozy corner

A bunch of fluffy pillows and a stuffed animal on a chair. Behind it is a picture window showing golden leaved trees, in fall.

A gathering for survivors of RA/MC.

Wear your pjs and bring a favorite book, such as a children’s picture book, that you would like to share or read aloud. Stuffies are welcome, too! (All of these things are completely optional, but encouraged, for this specially themed “PJ Cozy Corner” with story reading and stuffy time.)

Joanies from CUPP of Hope will be hosting this event.

Please note that any books with a holiday theme will not be shared.

Cozy Corner is a time for survivors to meet through Zoom and connect with others who understand the struggles of different holidays and seasons throughout the year.

These drop-in gatherings are an opportunity to be together and share a meal, visit, do an activity that brings you comfort, or just be.

If you are interested in becoming a Host for future Cozy Corners, please Contact Us.

open studio

Large white, fluffy clouds in a blue sky.

Drop in and work on your personal project in the company of other survivors. Projects can be anything, including coloring and drawing, tidying a room, or even paying some bills. This event is in an open studio format.

Come for a few moments or stay the whole time!

Grassroots’ disclaimer and expectations for all events

By registering and/or attending any of our offerings, you are agreeing to the following, as well as to the unique guidelines listed on Eventbrite for each event:

All GrassRoots (GR) events are facilitated/hosted by peer volunteers. Our events are not a substitute for therapy. We cannot provide crisis intervention. We trust you to call your therapist, a hotline, 911, or to go to your nearest emergency room if you are feeling that you might hurt yourself or another person.

Group settings for survivors can be complex and risks may include transference and emotional destabilization. We encourage you to speak to your therapist or support networks to seek advice about the suitability of these environments in relation to where you are in your recovery.

In attending and/or participating in any of the GR offerings, you agree to hold harmless GR and its peer volunteers and/or participants for any adverse consequences that may impact your life.

As a community, our goal is to create a safe space for every member. In order to achieve this goal, all participants and facilitators agree to treat each other with equity, kindness, respect, and consideration. Any form of bullying, degrading comments, name-calling, put-downs, criticism, sarcasm, shaming, or raising your voice towards each other, etc., will not be tolerated.

If these guidelines are not followed, the facilitators/hosts will attempt to bring a reconciliation between the people involved. If this should prove impossible, one or more of the parties involved will be asked to leave the group and will be restricted from future GR events/workshops.* If at a later date a resolution can be reached between the parties involved, the restrictions may be lifted. (*This does not refer to GR events that are open to the general public.)

Thank you,
GR Steering Committee
