Who we are
We are a group of RA/MC survivors who have joined together to help ourselves and other survivors by forming a supportive community. Together, we create and share support groups, healing workshops, writing groups, and art groups for parts of various ages.
As we get to know each other through these projects, we break our isolation and form strong, healing, community connections. In hearing of others’ pain and successes, we gain the courage to take risks and grow in healing.
our first volunteers
In the fall of 2020, Rivers, Leni, and Jean, the three co-hosts of the RA/MC global online poetry readings, came up with the concept for GrassRoots. Working together was so gratifying that they came up with the idea of inviting others to join . . . and thus
The GrassRoots RA/MC Survivors’ Collective was born!
Jean
Jean is a survivor of ritual abuse, government/academic mind control experimentation, and child pornography. She is also a retired clinical social worker, and a lover of cats and plants. She is an original member of the Steering Committee, which helps plan projects, creates and maintains this web page, and puts out a newsletter. She has a blog on Ritual Abuse.
rivers
Rivers (Wounded Healer) is a survivor of ritual abuse, mind control, and child sex trafficking. In her retirement, she focuses her energy on providing opportunities for, and participating in, creative healing activities for survivors. She is also an original Steering Committee member.
leni
Leni, from Melbourne, Australia, is a survivor of Satanic Ritual Abuse and Mind Control. She is also a filmmaker, academic, and blogger at My Life as a Dissociative. Leni continues collaborating with the GrassRoots Steering Committee as she spreads her wings pursuing other projects for the larger survivor community.
Since the official launching of GrassRoots in 2021, many additional volunteers have contributed their time and talents to our website and other projects. They include group facilitators, artists, writers, website designers and updaters, workshop leaders, researchers, photographers, copy editors . . . the list goes on and on.
Thank you to each of our volunteers, past and present, and for every survivor who has attended one of our events! You are the heart of the GrassRoots RA/MC Survivors’ Collective.
Let’s create something together!
