“The woods would be quiet if no bird sang but the one that sang best.” – Henry Van Dyke
who we are
We are a group of RA/MC survivors who have joined together to help each other create blogs, podcasts, videos, webinars, art shows, etc. These can be educational, artistic, academic, or personal. To that end, we have a growing list of volunteers and a list of projects that could use their skills.
At the beginning of this adventure in the fall of 2020, “we” included Rivers, Leni, and Jean, the three co-hosts of the RA/MC global online poetry readings. As the core creators, we came up with the idea of matching people who had ideas for events with volunteers who could help them make it happen. Thus, the formation of the Grassroots Collective was inspired. Shortly afterwards, we added a wonderful volunteer, Rishi, and we have been collaborating hand-in-hand ever since.
The Grassroots Collective was born!
Jean is a survivor of ritual abuse, government/academic mind control experimentation, and child pornography. She is also a retired clinical social worker, a mother and a grandmother.
Rivers (Wounded Healer) is a survivor of ritual abuse, mind control and child sex trafficking. In her retirement she focuses her energy on providing opportunities for, and participating in, creative healing activities for survivors.
Leni is a survivor of satanic ritual abuse and mind control, based in Melbourne, Australia. The abuse has caused dissociative identities and polyfragmentation. She is also a filmmaker, academic and blogger. You can find out more HERE.
Rishi is a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control. She discovered she was a multiple later in life. She’s a wife and mother of 2 sons. She enjoys time in nature taking pictures with her husband and hiking with her 2 dogs.
In addition to the 4 of us organizing the GrassRoots Collective, we also have 2 additional volunteer photographers, Bern and RainSinger (RainSinger is also our volunteer copy editor). Another volunteer, Shana Dines, is a painter. All of these volunteers have shared their artistry for this website. We are so thrilled for their contributions and to see the Collective growing! Where there once were 3, then 4, then 9, we are now at 12!! Pretty soon we will be 28, then 56, and in no time we may be up to 112 volunteers! Imagine that!
